Energy and Environmental Policy | ENVE 4530/6530
Learn how public policy is shaped by the pressing energy and environmental issues of our times. We will study how increased public awareness and environmental disasters brought about the advent of stronger environmental protection regulations in the 1960s and 1970s.  As time moved on ever-evolving energy policy has dealt with energy shortages in the 1970s up to current debates on the viability of renewable energy.
Environmental Justice: Evidence and Impact | ENVE 4730/6730

This course teaches students the history, science and policy related to domestic and global environmental justice.  Students will study environmental burden and health disparities; investigate the social, political, economic and physical processes that can deny justice; and discuss the community-based movements that advance positive change.
